Robert Kleist was the founder of the very successful high-tech company printronics. He received a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Kansas and an MS in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University .

 

Robert is married (Barbara) and has three children (Marsha, Carla and Wanda) as well as six grandchildren. Robert Kleist was a founder of Printronix Inc. in 1974 and currently serves as President, CEO and a Director of the Irvine, California headquartered global company that designs, manufactures and markets a range of computer printers for business and industrial applications.

Bob’s previous experience includes being a co-founder and executive of Pertec Computer Corporation, as well as, engineering and management assignments at Ampex, Link Aviation and Magnavox. Bob holds 17 patents for peripherals and control systems and received a BSEE degree from Kansas University and an MSEE degree from Stanford University.

He has served on the Seagate Technology Board of Directors, the Stanford Engineering Advisory Committee and actively supports Engineering and Computer Science education at Stanford University and the University of California, Irvine.
